Bright Hope Educational Learning Center (Bright Hope Inc.) is a tutoring and mentoring program started by a group of dedicated women and members of the Altrusa Club to serve the youth in the area by offering after school programs that benefit the students. The reality and dedication of the Bright Hope Educational Learning Center took place on Saturday, October 23, 2004. Complete with a library, computer lab, and professional instructors, the center was opened with several components that made an immediate impact on the surrounding community.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the BHELC is to provide established or additional educational opportunities for its students ages 3 - 12 years old.
POPULATION SERVED: Elementary and Middle school students from a range of incomes in the Central Virginia area.
